About CLOS

50 years ago in 1961 Chard Light Operatic Society (CLOS) was formed, by a group of like-minded individuals with interests in acting, singing and dancing. The society gave its first production in 1962.
Through the dedication and perseverance of its members it grew in size and has put on an annual production ever since. Over the years CLOS has won a variety of prestigious theatrical awards and is recognised among the community for the quality of its productions.

Again this year Chard Light Operatic Society is performing at Holyrood Hall and are looking for talented young people to be part of this year's production of 'The Sound of Music' 23rd - 27th October 2012 and would like to extend an invitation to CLOKS members to participate in our show.
We look forward to collaborating with the LOCAL YOUTH on this and future shows.
Auditions will take place at Crowshute. (Date to be confirmed)
Nick Lawrence, will be our Producer/MD, Choreographer: Jo Wilson-Hunt.

CLOS is a member of the
National Operatic and Drama Association (NODA)
